The XML Schema Working Group has made a number of modest changes to the concrete syntax (XML representation) of the XML Schema language in response to comments received during Last Call. Although we are not quite ready to request Candidate Recommendation status (not all the issue resolutions have been editted in to the drafts yet), we are aware that a number of projects using XML Schema are nearing maturity, and we did not think it right to delay releasing information about the syntax changes any longer than necessary, hence this "pre-CR" release of working drafts.
As from now, all three parts of XML Schema are updated . As a result of the syntax changes, the namespace URIs are changed, starting with http://www.w3.org/2000/10/XMLSchema, see e.g., .
I'll get a new version of the XSV validator page up tomorrow or Monday.
The WG will shortly release an XSLT stylesheet to forward-convert XML Schema documents which conformed to the older syntax to the new syntax: watch this space.
