RWS Expert Localization Engineer Yves Savourel Presents XML and Localization Workshop

In addition to co-sponsoring this industry event, RWS Group Expert Localization Engineer, Yves Savourel will deliver a comprehensive workshop; XML and Localization, Thursday, July 3, 2003. Savourel will address the challenges and advantages of implementing an XML content management solution, specifically:

  • Using XML to improve the management of localizable data
  • Using XML to reduce localization costs and time-to-market at various stages of product development, regardless of current data format
  • Using XML-related technologies to assist in the development of interoperable custom solutions
  • Developments with interoperable formats such as XLIFF and TMX

As the author of XML Internationalization and Localization, Savourel has been working with SGML and XML localization issues for over a decade. A developer of OpenTag, one of the earliest XML extracting formats, Savourel is also co-technical chair of OSCAR, the LISA Standards Committee responsible for TMX. Most recently, Savourel has been involved with the development of XML Localization Interchange File Format (XLIFF) and other efforts related to XML and localization.
