Excosoft AB Offers InterCAP ActiveCGM Browser
ANNAPOLIS, MD. November 16, 1998. From XML '98.
InterCAP Graphics Systems Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intergraph Corporation, and Excosoft AB Monday announced plans to ship InterCAP's ActiveCGM Browser with Excosoft's Documentor tool.
Documentor is a multi-purpose information management, structuring, and authoring tool for professional document production. The announcement was made today at the XML '98 Conference in Chicago, where both companies are exhibiting.
"With InterCAP's ActiveCGM Browser, we can offer our Documentor customers Web graphics viewing for the most demanding publishing applications," said Anders Larsson, CEO of Excosoft. "It's a significant addition to what we believe is an optimal solution for information management."
Documentor, which was first released in September 1997, places the company at the forefront of the knowledge management industry. Several of the most important projects in Swedish industry have used Exco products as their foremost development and documentation tools.
The software has played an important role in the development of GSM base stations, fighter aircraft, radar systems, spacecraft guidance systems, and C3I systems.
An easy-to-use product for viewing "intelligent graphics" published on the World Wide Web or corporate intranets, InterCAP's ActiveCGM Browser is available as a Netscape Navigator Plug-in or a Microsoft Internet Explorer Control. It features advanced viewing capabilities and supports all versions of the international standard CGM (ISO 8632:1992).
