While a principal focus the Cover Pages website is documenting the progress of standards development and industry applications as "news," a second activity involves the creation of dedicated topic documents which systematically and cumulatively describe the individual markup language applications and initiatives. The website features some 700+ topic documents, or technology reports.
Work is underway to design and implement categorization schemes which make the technology reports more easily discovered according to subject and domain. Meantime, the 500+ topics characterized as "XML Applications" are listed in groups of related or similar applications. For the earlier collections (mostly SGML applications), the topics are presented in document sections within the three broad categories: General SGML/XML Applications, Academic Applications, and Government Applications.
