Inso's New eBusiness Technologies Division

Inso Corporation Announces eBusiness Technologies Division

Renamed Division to Provide Solutions and Services for Sophisticated E-Business Applications

BOSTON, MA. June 28, 1999.

Inso Corporation today launched eBusiness Technologies, a division focused on helping mid-to-large- sized organizations achieve their e-business goals. Previously known as the Content Management and Internet Publishing Division, eBusiness Technologies develops and markets solutions and services explicitly designed to enable organizations to create high value and strategic e-business applications.

eBusiness Technologies offers its customers DynaBase, the most comprehensive XML object-based platform for automated Web content management and personalized dynamic delivery, and MediaBank, the industry-leading media asset management system. With these applications, eBusiness Technologies provides organizations with the foremost e-business solutions on the market.

According to Forrester Research, the majority of organizations administer content by hand or with a homegrown solution and need a process for automated Web page creation. To evolve to more responsive business systems, organizations must master the contribution of site assets, the collaboration of content across the organization and the control of delivery (Managing Web Content, February 1999). As such, eBusiness Technologies is focused on the urgent and growing need for advanced technological solutions that can streamline and automate the entire e-business process -- solutions that concurrently enable organizations to overcome their finite resource limitations quickly, economically and successfully.

"Organizations are aggressively seeking a competitive advantage by transforming their Web presence into all-encompassing e-business systems," said James Ringrose, president of eBusiness Technologies. "To deliver on this kind of far-reaching goal, they need to be able to automate, manage and then easily access a wide range of content and business information. Our e- business solutions and services provide the capability to automate the contribution, access and manipulation of information -- creating an ideal foundation upon which organizations can build and develop their entire e- business framework."

The mission of eBusiness Technologies is to develop and deliver products, tools, services and best practices that create a trusted environment for controlling on-line information assets, automating production and enabling personalized delivery of content via the Internet. Specifically, these solutions utilize an Internet-based framework that facilitates the on-line creation, accumulation, organization, updating, publication and archiving of all types of information affecting day-to-day operations.

Ringrose said, "E-business is the most exciting change to occur in the fabric of corporate culture since the invention of the Internet. The ultimate goal of eBusiness Technologies is to allow organizations to realize and achieve their e-business goals to make them as successful in their enterprises as possible."
