In an effort to stimulate further discussion of extended DocBook synopses (for modern and OO languages), I've published an extension containing my proposal and print/HTML DSSSL stylesheets that format it (somewhat crudely, perhaps).

Comments encouraged. I'll take a look at the recently posted Python markup later this week and amend the proposal perhaps.
