XML and Pharmaceutical Data Management Conference

Conference Examines the Role of XML for Clinical Data Management and Regulatory Submissions

New York, NY, USA. May 15, 2003.

The Center for Pharmaceutical Training will present its XML and Pharmaceutical Data Management conference in Philadelphia, PA, September 23-24, 2003. The development of XML standards for the pharmaceutical industry is creating new and unique approaches for preparing, managing and exchanging clinical data. This conference examines the evolving standards being developed by CDISC and HL7 and their impact on data management processes being implemented in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries.

"Data capture and archiving are major issues facing these highly-regulated industries," explains Michael Gurton, Director of Conference Programming. "XML technology can tie together disparate systems and allow improved data sharing and management across the pharmaceutical enterprise. Experts at this conference will explain the evolving standards and demonstrate their impact within real-world operational settings."

Companies and organizations presenting at the conference include HL7, Wyeth, Pfizer, Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca, and more.

The Center for Pharmaceutical Training, a division of the International Quality and Productivity Center, is the world's premier training and development resource for drug and medical device development, learning, and performance. The Center for Pharmaceutical Training provides objective information, research, analysis, and practical information through its conference, training courses, and electronic newsletters.
