Xerox Announces Circus-DTE Programming Language for Document
Transformation.
An experimental programming language developed at Xerox Research
Centre of Europe in Grenoble, France has been released for testing.

document transformation processing. It natively supports XML (DTDs)
and is particularly suited to data processing or the transformation of
structured documents: it automatically validates output results for
reliable input into other applications.

Extensible Resource Identifier (XRI) Technical Committee purposes to
create a URI scheme and a corresponding URN namespace for distributed
directory services that enable the identification of resources
(including people and organizations) and the sharing of data across
domains, enterprises, and applications.
