------------------------------------------------------------------------- To Users of SGML: The following press release, number three in a series of three, is being posted (10/22/96) in the interest of reaching the largest number of interested persons who may wish to attend GCA's SGML'96 Conference, November 18 - 21, 1996 in Boston. For more conference agenda and registration details, visit: http://www.gca.org/conf/sgml96/index.htm Thank you for sharing this information with your colleagues. DATE: July 29, 1996 FOR RELEASE: IMMEDIATE GCA'S SGML'96 IN BOSTON WILL HOLD "SNEAK PREVIEW" FROM ARBORTEXT (Alexandria, VA) - The Graphic Communications Association reports that this year's SGML'96 conference in Boston, November 18 - 22, will include a "sneak preview" from ArborText on the company's plans for its flagship products: ADEPT*Editor and ADEPT*Publisher. ArborText will host an invitation-only reception on the opening day of the conference. The special event will reveal ArborText's advancements in the creation and management of SGML-based text and documents, plus a demonstration of the 6.1 release which is currently scheduled for delivery at the end of this year. This release will provide a high level of integration with document management systems, which will enable multiple authors to collaborate simultaneously on the creation of compound documents that are stored in databases. The 6.1 release will also be available in an Asian version that supports editing and page output of Japanese, Korean, Modern Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. ArborText expects to announce a series of agreements for Asian distribution over the next few months. As one of the over 25 companies who have already signed up as an SGML'96 exhibitor, ArborText will provide - at its booth - both group and individual demonstrations of its entire ADEPT Series product suite for creating, managing, and distributing compound documents. This year's SGML conference proceedings will be produced using the ADEPT Series products. Once again, the annual SGML conference will be co-chaired by B. Tommie Usdin and Debbie A. Lapeyre - both with Mulberry Technologies, Inc. SGML'96, which last year drew over 800 newcomers, users, and experts in the SGML field, will repeat last year's site: the Sheraton Boston Hotel and Towers and the Hynes Convention Center. Conference attendees may register by contacting the GCA offices, 100 Daingerfield Road, Alexandria, VA 22314-2888, 703-519-8167. For more conference information, call Joy Blake at 703-519-8177, or via e-mail at: jblake@gca.org.
