SENG TRANSFORMATION ENGINE: VERSION 1.0 Beta

SENG is a transformation engine based on SP 1.0.  It executes an SGML
document as scheme code.

SENG provides some basic procedures (some DSSSL like) to manipulate and
access information from an SGML Instance.  

SENG was developed as a testbed for DSSSL experiments as well as an
interm transformation engine for SGML.

FEATURES:

- Cross document transformations
- Access to element context and left-siblings.
- R4RS Scheme programming environment.
- Simple syntax for style semantics (style sheets).

EXAMPLE TRANSFORMATIONS:

1. A HyTime-based web site index built from SGML documents and viewable
   by panorama.
2. Envelope printing from an SGML document (requires a PostScript printer).
3. C++ code generation for class specification in an SGML instance.
