Subject: ANN: tdtd 0.5 -- Emacs dtd-mode for SGML and XML DTDs From: tgraham@mulberrytech.com (Tony Graham) Date: 1998/05/24 Newsgroups: comp.text.sgml
Revision 0.5 of the tdtd package for an Emacs major mode for editing
SGML and XML DTDs is available at:
ftp://ftp.mulberrytech.com/pub/tdtd.
Features of tdtd revision 0.5 include:
dtd-etags function for creating Emacs TAGS files for easy lookup of any element, parameter entity, or notation's definition using Emacs's built-in tag-lookup functions;
Font lock highlighting of declarations so that the important information stands out, including improved highlighting of XML Declarations;
XML-specific behaviour that, at user option, is triggered by automatic detection of the XML Declaration;
Functions for writing and editing declarations and comments to ease creating and keeping a consistent style;
Less cruft in your .emacs files since dtd-mode now autoloads; and
More user options for modifying parameters.
dtd-mode builds on sgml-mode, and the full sgml-mode functions are still available.

Tony Graham
