MEETING REMINDER

SGML UK are holding an all-day open meeting on the theme of

"The eXtensible Markup Language (XML)"

at the Wiltshire Hotel, Swindon UK, on Thursday 23rd October.

At the meeting you will be able to:

* bring yourself up to speed on the nature and purpose of XML
* find out about the wide range of XML applications being developed
* check out the availability of tools to support XML use
* purchase a copy of Richard Light's new book "Presenting XML".

The meeting programme will include:

- a full programme of presentations by XML experts, developers and users
- a technology showcase for system developers and vendors to demonstrate XML
and SGML tools
- a bookstall with many of the latest SGML and XML books available in the UK
- buffet lunch

The meeting will be followed by a closed session for SGML UK members, to discuss the future direction and 
activities of SGML UK.

Registration fees (in Pounds Sterling): ISUG members: 25; non-members: 50; vendors: 125 (includes a table in 
the technology showcase and registration for one person).

The venue is close to Swindon rail station, with good connections to London and airports around the UK.
