Inera Introduces eXtyles
Inera Incorporated introduces eXtyles, the premier suite of editorial and XML tools for Microsoft Word
NEWTON, MA. December 1, 2000.
Inera Incorporated, a leading developer of XML solutions, announces the introduction of eXtyles, the premier integrated suite of editorial and XML tools for Microsoft Word.
"With the advent of rapid electronic publishing, structured information has become more important to organizations than ever before. Most document authors and editors, however, prefer to use Microsoft Word rather than a structured XML editor to create and edit information," said Irina Golfman, President of Inera. "eXtyles enables organizations to continue use of Word and meet the demand to deliver XML."
eXtyles automates editorial and XML production processes. It simplifies the time-consuming, error-prone and frustrating task to clean up, style, edit and tag content. eXtyles streamlines molding Word content into a corporate editorial and visual style, and exporting Word documents to XML or other metadata formats. It uses Intelligent Pattern Recognition (IPR) to automatically identify and markup XML elements and automates tedious manual content editing.
Developed with direct input from long-time publishers of SGML and XML documents, eXtyles has been specifically designed for the workflow requirements of editorial and production organizations faced with the mandate to produce XML from Microsoft Word under deadline pressure.
"The unique eXtyles workflow has saved us thousands of hours of arduous, error-prone labor," said G. Paul Bozuwa, President of beta test site Capital City Press. "With eXtyles, our productivity has increased and we've been able to keep our editors with the familiar Microsoft Word visual environment."
eXtyles enables organizations to retain complete in-house control of the Word to XML creation process and provides these additional features:
- Automates XML Creation
- Streamlines Electronic Production Process
- Enforces Corporate Style Conformance
- Automates Manual Editorial Processes
- Extends Microsoft Word
eXtyles beta sites have already experienced these significant productivity improvements:
- Faster Production Times
- Greater Content Capacity
- Higher Document Quality
- Smaller Training Investment
- Lower Costs
eXtyles will be previewed at XML 2000. We invite you to visit our demonstrations in the New Technology Showcase. For additional information about eXtyles, please visit our web site at www.inera.com or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
eXtyles is compatible with Microsoft Word 97 and 2000 running with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT and 2000. It will ship at the end of December.
