    **************************************************
    Welcome to the E B T W I R E mailing list
    **************************************************

This is an unmoderated mailing list for EBT customers to exchange
questions and technical information about EBT products.

EBT employees monitor this mailing list but, as a general rule, do
not actively participate in the discussion.

If you have a technical support question for EBT, please direct
your question to support@ebt.com or, for European customers,
    eurotech@ebt.com.

*** EBT Wire subsumes the other EBT SIGs. There was no traffic on
*** those other SIGs, so until traffic reaches a point at which it
*** seems necessary to revive the other SIGs, please use the EBT Wire.

*** If you requested a subscription to the other SIGs, your name is
*** being kept by the majordomo administrator pending their revival.

If you send mail to ebt_wire@ebt.com, your message will be broadcast
to all subscribers on the list.

In addition to communicating with other members of the EBT Wire, you
can use the following commands. (Items contained in []'s are optional
-- do not include the brackets.) To use them, send mail to
majordomo@ebt.com with no subject and the commands in the body of the
mail; be sure to end the list of commands with "end".

    subscribe ebt_wire [<address>]
Subscribe yourself (or <address> if specified) to the EBT
Wire. All the EBT SIGs are 'closed' lists; that is, all
subscription requests are directed to the list owner for
customer validation and the appropriate action (subscribe or
        ignore).

    unsubscribe ebt_wire [<address>]
Unsubscribe yourself (or <address> if specified) from the EBT
        Wire.

    get ebt_wire <filename>
Get a file related to the EBT Wire.

    index ebt_wire
Return an index of files you can "get" related to the EBT
        Wire.

    which [<address>]
Find out which SIGs you (or <address> if specified) are on.

    info ebt_wire
Retrieve the general introductory information for the EBT
        Wire.

    lists
Show a list of all the EBT SIGs.

    help
        Retrieve information on using majordomo.

    end
Stop processing commands (useful if your mailer adds a
        signature).

A FEW OTHER THINGS . . .

  * Please do not distribute large documents, such as PostScript
files, using this mailing list. Instead, make the document
available in the EBT Wire archive by sending it to
majordomo-owner@ebt.com. Once you've been notified that the
document is in the archive, you can send a notice to the group
describing the document's availability and its interest to the
    group.

  * Remember that commands should be sent in the body of an email
    message to "majordomo@ebt.com".

  * Commands in the "Subject:" line are NOT processed.

  * If you have any problems or questions about the group or its
activities, please send mail to majordomo-owner@ebt.com.
