Documation '99 West Explores Emerging Technologies for Managing Dynamic Content

Event to focus on XML Business Strategies, Content Management & Intranet/Extranet Publishing, Document Management, and Knowledge Management

SILVER SPRING, MD. December 18, 1998.

CAP Ventures and AIIM International today announced that the Documation '99 West Exposition & Document Software Conference will be held February 9-11, 1999 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.

Documation is the only event focused exclusively on technology for the creation, management, and delivery of dynamic content for business applications.

Documation '99 will emphasize four key areas of dynamic content management that IS/IT, strategic planners, and project managers need to pay the closest attention to: content management & Intranet/Extranet publishing, document management, XML business strategies, and knowledge management.

``Business and technology managers and planners must understand what is possible with today's products, how these dynamic content management applications work, and how fundamental technologies such as XML will direct the future of content, document, and knowledge management solutions,'' said Frank Gilbane, Documation founder and director at CAP Ventures. ``Our mission with Documation is to provide this education.''

Leading vendors including Documentum, Open Text, and Optika will exhibit their latest applications and technologies unique to creating, managing and delivering dynamic content for business applications. In addition, for the first time Documation '99 is expanding to include the technologies associated with two companion conferences: TAG and the Financial Communications Forum.

TAG '99 is aimed at programmers and developers who need to learn the details of building XML data and document applications, and the Financial Communications Forum, a vertically-focused event, is dedicated to document applications for the finance industry - one of the fastest growing segments of the market.
