On November 13, 2000, there will be a public XML community meeting. (On the same night, there will also be an OASIS XSLT/XPath Conformance Testing Public Meeting.)
Both meetings will be held at the location of XML DevCon 2000, but they are open to the public (not just conference delegates).
XML Community Process Public Meeting
When: November 13, 8:30 p.m.
Where: Doubletree Hotel, San Jose, California
Room: To be announced (there will be signs at the hotel)
Please join us if you'd like to discuss:
- the respective roles of W3C, OASIS, ISO, IETF and an XML Community Process
- creation of an ISO XML standard
- OASIS technical committees to advance API standards for processing XML

Update 2000-11-02: If you are attending one of the public meetings on November 13 in San Jose, here are the room assignments at the Doubletree Hotel: The XML Community meeting will take place in the Pine Room on Monday, November 13th at 8:30 p.m. The OASIS XSLT/XPath Conformance Testing Public Meeting will take place on Monday November 13th at 9:00p.m. in the San Martin/San Simeon room. [03-November-2000] "We've had acceptances from several organizations and initiatives who will send a representative to speak at the XML Community meeting.
