Arbortext Continues To Positions Itself For Success in the Enterprise Software Arena

WALTHAM, MA. February 01, 1999.

Bringing over 11 years of professional marketing experience to Arbortext, Steve Chambers joins the Company as vice president of marketing, where he will be responsible for all strategic and tactical marketing activities. Chambers spent six years in various positions at PictureTel Corporation, where he was most recently the vice president of worldwide marketing, responsible for marketing activities in over 35 countries. Chambers graduated summa cum laude from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Conn., and earned a masters in business administration and a masters of science in communications with highest honors from Boston University, Boston, Mass.

"By adding executives with such a wealth of experience to our management team, we are strengthening our commitment to growing Arbortext beyond a technology company to become an industry leader that delivers innovative solutions that address critical business issues," said Bob Crowley, president and CEO of Arbortext. Bolstering Arbortext's executive cadre is Denis LeBlanc, formerly of Rational Software, Lexington, Mass. Named vice president of North American sales, LeBlanc will be responsible for channel development and sales in the United States and Canada. While at Rational as vice president and general manager, LeBlanc oversaw a business unit responsible for ClearCase, Rational's
